Shinhan BNP Paribas Investment Trust Management (신한 BNP Paribas in Korean) is an investment trust management company, headquartered in Seoul, Korea. It is a joint-venture between Shinhan Financial Group and the french bank BNP Paribas. The company was created in 1996 and was previously known as Shinhan Investment Trust Management. It is only in 2002 that the name changed to Shinhan BNP Paribas when BNP Paribas acquired 50% of the capital.
The company has now more than 70 employees and more than ₩11,000bn of Assets Under Management (AUM). The company is ranked 7th in the Korean Asset Management industry (by AUM) [http://www.amak.or.kr] .

Brief History

*1996/08/01 : Foundation of Shinhan Investment Trust Management with a capital of ₩30bn.

*1999/01/28 : The total Assets Under Management (AUM) reach ₩10,000bn.

*2000/06/16 : The capital is increased of ₩10bn.

*2002/10/24 : BNP Paribas acquires 50% of Shinhan Investment Trust Management.
The name is changed to Shinhan BNP Paribas Investment Trust Management.

*2005/10/01 : Appointment of a new CEO, Jean Audibert.
