Patrick Leduc (born December 26, 1977 in Saint-Hubert, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian soccer player, currently playing for the Montreal Impact.

Career

Before turning pro he played amateur soccer with FC Sélect Rive-Sud of the Quebec Elite Soccer League. He also played for U15 and U17 Quebec select teams winning two silver medals. He would later on play for Twin Cities Tornado of the USL Premier Development League for two years in 1998, and 1999.

In 2000 he was signed by the Montreal Impact of the USL First Division, in his first two seasons he didn't feature in much games. But in 2002 he spent over 1,000 minutes on the field for the first time of his career with the Impact, even picking up his first assists in a 3-1 win against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on June 9. He also helped claim the Voyageurs Cup. In his fourth season with the club he scored his first goal on August 3 against the Riverhounds, and his second was the winner in 2-0 win against Calgary Storm, which clinch first place in Eastern Conference. He was one of 11 Impact players to finish the season with over 1,500 minutes played.

In 2004 he was one of five Impact players to play more than 2,000 minutes during the season, he scored three goals, and added four assists. He was part of the starting eleven for the championship game, which the Impact win 2-0, against the Seattle Sounders, claiming the championship for the second time in club history. And for the third consecutive year helped claim the Voyageurs Cup. The following season he helped the Impact to a 15-game undefeated streak in 2005, which marked a new league record. And helped clinched the regular season title.

During the 2006 season he scored a goal on May 21 against the Minnesota Thunder in a 4-0 victory. He played his 150th career game with the Impact on August 31 against Portland Timbers becoming the 7th player in club history to do so, and he reached the 10,000 career minutes played mark with Montreal only the 8th person in club history. He was also picked once on the USL D1 Team of the Week. Though for the second year in a row the Impact failed to claim the League Championship, but he helped clinch the regular season title , and for the fifth year in a row helped the Impact claim the Voyageurs Cup.

National team

On January 2005 he was invited to a Canada national soccer team’s training camp for the first time at Fort Lauderdale, he played his first game on July 2, 2005 against Honduras. He was selected to represent Canada at the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He was part of the starting 11 for the first two games, on July 7 against Costa Rica, and July 9 against the United States which both games resulted in a loss, knocking Canada out of the tournament. He was selected for the international friendly against the United States, January 22, 2006 in San Diego in 0-0 tie where he was unused substitute.
