synonyms = The Marcano's Solenodon ("Solenodon marcanoi") was a species of mammal in the Solenodontidae family. It is known only from skeletal remains found on the island of Hispaniola. The remains were found in association with those from rats of the genus "Rattus", which suggests Marcano's Solenodon survived past the initial time of European colonisation of the island.

Like other "Solenodon" species, it was a nocturnal, burrowing, shrew-like mammal with a long snout, that fed on insects. Solenodons are among only a handful of mammals to have venomous bites.
