The Lameta Formation is a
sedimentary rock formation found inMadhya Pradesh ,Gujarat , andMaharashtra ,India . It is ofMaastrichtian age (Upper Cretaceous ), and is notable for itsdinosaur fossil s. Many dubious names have been created for isolated bones, but several genera of dinosaurs from these rocks are well-supported, including thetitanosaur sauropod "Isisaurus " and theabelisaur s "Indosaurus ", "Indosuchus ", "Laevisuchus ", and "Rajasaurus ".cite book |last=Weishampel |first=David B. |authorlink=David B.
