BAB intro|96 is an
autobahn in southernGermany , leading from theAustria n border (A14) nearLindau (Lake Constance ) throughMemmingen ,Landsberg am Lech toMunich . Two European routes lead through the autobahn: E43 and E54.It was first planned to build a direct connection between Munich and Lindau before
World War II , south ofAmmersee . During the1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, a section from Munich toOberpfaffenhofen andGermering was built.Today, there are two sections, which have only two lanes: from Wangen-Nord to Leutkirch-Süd and Memmingen-Ost to
Erkheim , both signed B 18. Upgrade of these sections is under construction, and will be opened in 2009 and 2008, respectively.Exit list
