Flashpoint, The Academy of Media Arts & Sciences is a private college located in Chicago, Illinois, geared toward the field of digital arts and entertainment technologies. It offers two-year programs in Film, Recording Arts, Visual Effects and Animation, and Game Development.

Flashpoint Academy was founded by Ric Landry in 2007. Howard A. Tullman is the President and CEO.

Flashpoint is a high-end two year school offering the following programs:

The school offers certificates, and is applying for degree-granting authority to eventually offer Associate Degrees.

cheduling

Flashpoint's programs start bi-yearly, in September and January. Throughout the course of a program, the average Flashpoint student spends half of their time at the main facility at 28 N. Clark, Chicago, and the other half of their time at a state-of-the-art production complex in the historic Merchandise Mart nearby.

Costs

Tuition costs are $25,000 per year. Small scholarships are available.

Campus

Flashpoint's campus is 32,000 sq ft. This facility mimics a workplace where students will learn to pursue their careers in film, recording arts, visual effects and animation, game development, or broadcast media.
