Joseph Fornieri

Dr. Joseph Fornieri (b. June 27, 1965) is an American political historian. He has written numerous highly-acclaimed books on political history.

One of the country's foremost experts on the political ideology of Abraham Lincoln, the well-respected scholar has authored books such as [http://www.niupress.niu.edu/niupress/Scripts/Book/bookResults.asp?ID=362 "Abraham Lincoln's Political Faith"] , "Lincoln's American Dream: Clashing Political Perspectives", and "The Language of Liberty: The Political Speeches and Writings of Abraham Lincoln".

Since his first book was published, Dr. Fornieri's work has been referenced in many significant texts on American History and Political Science. Dr. Fornieri is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2005, he was presented the coveted Eisenhart Provost's Award for Excellence in Teaching.

He resides in Fairport, NY.
