- Biotinylated retinoids
Biotinylated retinoids are derivatives of
retinol (vitamin A ) carrying a biotin group for use in the isolation and purification of Retinol Binding Proteins involved in thevisual cycle . The first biotinylated retinoid was synthesized in 2002 Nasri Nesnas, Robert R. Rando, Koji Nakanishi “Synthesis of Biotinylated Retinoids for Cross-Linking and Isolation of Retinol Binding Proteins;” Tetrahedron 2002, 58, 6577-6584.
