[ [http://www.osac.state.or.us/oda/faq.html Is Oregon the only state that disallows use of unaccredited degrees?] Oregon Office of Degree Authorization]

In 1994, FTU was authorized by California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE) to award degrees [Frederick Taylor University website, [http://www.ftu.edu/approvallarge.htm Approval and Authority to Grant Degrees] and [http://www.ftu.edu/qa.htm#approved FAQ] [http://www.cpec.ca.gov/CollegeGuide/AdvCollegeSearch.asp?InstType=StateAppr Guide to California Colleges & Universities] (accessed July 26, 2007)] [ [http://www.cpec.ca.gov/collegeguide/Institution.asp?id=E0732A&bhcp=1 CPEC Listing for FTU ] ] . The BPPVE no longer exists due to a sunset clause in the law that created it. BPPVE authorization should not be confused with accreditation. Frederick Taylor University has signed a voluntary agreement with the Department of Consumer Affairs that applies to its operation until new legislation addressing postsecondary education is in place. [Voluntary Agreements ( [http://www.bppve.ca.gov/forms_pubs/voluntaryagreelist.pdf] )]
