Robert Sherborne

Robert Sherborne [Sherborn, Shirbirn, Sherburne, Sherburn, Sherbourne.] (born Rolleston-on-Dove [ [http://www.rolleston-on-dove.freeserve.co.uk/stmarys.htm St Mary's Church, Rolleston-on-Dove ] ] , died 1536) was bishop of Chichester, from 1508 to 1536.

He was Dean of St. Paul's, from 1499 to 1505 [ [http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.asp?compid=32379 Deans of St Paul's | British History Online ] ] . From 1505 to 1508 he was bishop of St Davids [ [http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Documents/bishops_of_st_davids.htm Bishops of St. Davids ] ] .

He was a patron of the artist Lambert Bernard, commissioning several series of murals from him. [http://www.hlf.org.uk/NHMFWeb/Database/datapage2.html?projectid=204] .
