Gary Alan Wassner is a fantasy and children's books author. His Gemquest series is popular among sci-fi and fantasy readers, with the fourth book of the series, Revenge of the Elves scheduled to be published in September, 2007 (Windstorm Creative Publishers). Revenge of the Elves follows The Awakening, The Twins, and The Shards in the series that begins with the impending decimation of the Lalas, sentient trees who have protected the land and its inhabitants since the beginning of time.
Of the series, Dag Rambout of sffword said in a review, "This is epic fantasy at its best. Wassner keeps readers hooked from page one."
His children's book, The Mystery of the Jubilee Emerald was published by Mondo Publishing.
In the fashion industry, Wassner, Senior Partner and President of Hilldun Corporation, is known as the man behind most of Seventh Avenue's most prestigious fashion companies, providing financing for many of America's iconic designer names.

New York City on January 8, 1952. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harpur College of Arts and Sciences with a Masters Degree in Philosophy with a concentration in ethics and 19th Century Continental Philosophy.Wassner resides in New York with his wife Cathy. He has three sons, Brien, Cristopher and Cole, two daughters in law, Mary and Lauren and four dogs, Kiefer, Zoe Rose, Diesel and Marilyn Monroe. He is now writing book V for the GemQuest series; When Monsters Call Out The Names Of Men.
