Elena Vladimirovna Temnikova ( _ru. Елена Владимировна Темникова, born April 18, 1985, Kurgan, Russia) is a Russian singer, one of the three members of the Russian girl group called Serebro.

Career

"Star Factory"

Started to study music when she was 5, playing the violin, in her hometown Kurgan.

In 2003, Temnikova came third on "Star Factory", a TV music show for young artists (kind of "American Idol") on Russia's "Channel One". That year, one of the contesters was Yulia Savicheva, Russian contester on Eurovision Song Contest 2004. In this show, Temnikova sang songs like "SOS" and "Mamma Mia" of ABBA, and "Tell Him" of Celine Dion.

During the "Star Factory", Temnikova was noticed by the main producer of the show - Max Fadeev and later became a singer of his record company - Monolit Records. During 2003, she recorded two disco singles "Begi" and "Taina".

But, Temnikova released no solo albums, and she made a break until 2007, when she returned as the member of girl group Serebro.

Three years after "Star Factory", in 2006, Lena and her producer started to work on a new project - Serebro, which in 2007 represented Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 and won the 3rd place. Lena was in this band in the start. She called Olga Seryabkina on audition, and Olga became a member of the band. In interview for magazine "In Style", in February 2008, Temnikova said: "After "Star Factory", Maxim Fadeev offered me a new job. He offered me to be lead singer in girl band. I decided to do it, and we together found second and third member".

In February 2008, Lena, Olya and Marina went on vacation. They went to Crete island, in Greece. Their vacation is reported by "In Style". The girls released two number-one singles and one number-two in Russia, they are very successful and have many concerts.

Personal life

Because of work, she lives in Moscow, but she says she miss her Kurgan. She loves books and hanging out with her friends. Her good friend is Olga Seryabkina, and since 2007 Marina Lizorkina.

In 2004, she married to Alexey Semenov, one of the contesters in "Star Factory" 2003. They are separated now.
