"The Flumps" was a popular children's programme produced in
1976 , broadcast by theBBC many times from1977 to1988 , and produced by David Yates and narrated byGay Soper . The plot revolved around the various adventures of a family of furry, human-like characters called The Flumps.The various flumps were:
*Grandpa Flump, who played a Flumpet (type of trumpet),
*Father Flump, a keen gardener
*Mother Flump, often seen cooking in the kitchen
*Posie, a child Flump (a girl)
*Perkin, a child Flump (a boy)
*Pootle, a child Flump (the youngest; a boy)Episode listing
