Libretto Chief (born August 25, 1987) is an American producer, singer, rapper, and songwriter. He is one half of the production duo SlumGrad, where, along with Marvin "The Martian", he produces hip-hop and R&B music. He released his debut single "Yeah I Did It" in 2006 and followed up with his debut album House Call in 2007.

As part of SlumGrad, Libretto has produced numerous singles for various artists. He plays the drums, keyboard, and viola. He is also the founder of the clothing brand Sabastian.

Early life

Raised on the west side of Los Angeles, Daniel is the oldest of four brothers and one sister. His father was a member of the coast guard.
