children's music recording artist who has been performing music for kids around her home base inNew York City for the past 10 years.Growing up in Chesterland, Ohio, Suzi studied early childhood education and dance, looking for ways to interact with kids. After moving to New York, she discovered that adding music to movement was her strength.
Suzi Shelton is making her way among the current crop of kid-friendly musical performers. Suzi’s first CD "Simply Suzi" featured original songs about animals, dreams and dessert , scoring kudos from the [Children’s Music Web] [ [http://www.childrensmusic.org The Children's Music Web ] ] , Parents’ Choice [ [http://www.parents-choice.org Parents' Choice Foundation: Reviewing Children's Media Since 1978 ] ] and the iParenting Media Awards [ [http://www.iparentingmedia.com iParenting Media: Online and Print communities and resources for parents, by parents ] ] . She plans to release a "Suzi Shelton Live! at Southpaw" DVD in September 2007, and is teaming up again with producer and musician Dan Siegler to produce her follow-up album "No Ordinary Day", set for release in early 2008.Suzi is the featured artist and host of a DVD series from Gymboree Play & Music [http://www.gymboree.com] . The two new 30 minute DVDs, "The Very Brave Elephant and His Friends" and "Let’s Get Moving! Trains, Cars and Planes," combine music and movement to encourage kids to participate by using their imaginations.
