Roderick Khalil Roundtree (
December 15 ,1961 Fact|date:March2008|date=March 2008–May 25 ,1992 ), often referred to as just Khalil Roundtree, was the road manager for theR&B bandBoyz II Men .Death
While the band was touring as an opening act for
MC Hammer 's "Too Legit to Quit " tour promoting their debut album "Cooleyhighharmony ", Roundtree was shot and killed by an armed robber in the Guest Quarters Hotel inChicago, Illinois , where the band was staying. His assistant Qadree El-Amin was also shot, but survived, and testified against his shooters.On February 11, 1997, Christopher Babbington, Kenneth Copeland, and Christopher Foley were convicted for the second degree murder of Roundtree and each sentenced to serve two concurrent fourteen-year prison terms.
