Dr. Laurence (Larry) Benz is the President/CEO of PT Development LLC a private equity firm with operating holdings in physical therapy [http://www.texpts.com] , practice management consulting and medical education [http://www.evidenceinmotion.com] ,occupational health [http://www.wellworkforce.com] , urgent medical care [http://www.acute-care.com/] , and medical trustee and receivership [http://www.lsassociatesllc.com/] .

From 1987 to Sept 2007, he founded and served as President/CEO of Kentucky Orthopedic Rehab Team (KORT) [http://www.kort.com/] , a private practice outpatient physical therapy company currently comprised of more than 35 locations throughout the greater Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky region. He was appointed as a director of Blue Dolphin Energy (Ticker: BDCO) [http://www.blue-dolphin.com/] in 2004. From 1984 through 1989, he served in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Army Medical Specialists Corps. Dr. Benz currently serves as director of the charitable organization Neighborhood Engagement and is a board member for the AAA [http://ww2.aaa.com/scripts/WebObjects.dll/AAAOnline?association=aaa&club=033&zip=40245] of Kentucky.

Dr. Benz received a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Baylor University [http://www.baylor.edu/graduate/pt/] , a Masters in Business Administration from The Ohio State University [http://fishermba.osu.edu/] and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions [http://www.mghihp.edu/] . He is nationally recognized for his expertise in private practice physical therapy, industrial medicine, and marketing. A frequent lecturer at multiple physical therapy and MBA educational programs throughout the country, Dr. Benz has served on the American Physical Therapy Association's [http://www.apta.org/] Advisory Panel on Practice and the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties [http://www.apta.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=ABPTS1&Template=/TaggedPage/TaggedPageDisplay.cfm&TPLID=42&ContentID=14391] .
