The Škoda Octavia was a small family car produced by Czech automaker Škoda Auto at their plant in Mladá Boleslav. It was introduced in 1959 as the successor to the Škoda 440/445 on which it was based. The saloons were produced until 1964, when it was replaced by the Škoda MB1000/1100. An estate version was introduced in 1961, and remained in production until 1971.

The Auto kg|1270|0 saloons were sold with 1089 cc engines producing Auto bhp|40|0, later Auto bhp|50|0, and 1221 cc engines with 45-55 bhp (34-41 kW). The slightly heavier station wagons at Auto kg|1365|0 were all shipped with 1.2 liter engines. The top speed was 110- 115 km/h (68-71 mph).
