Mixiworld radio

Mixiworld was created on 12th February 2006 by Michael Fawcett (DJ Scoop). Mixiworld first started off as a personal website for DJ Scoop to publish mixes he produced, so that anyone who enjoyed them could stay up-to-date on his work from one single website. As time went by DJ Scoop received many e-mails regarding his work and was asked why he didn't stream the content from his website so that his visitors could listen to tracks without having to download them to their computer. From this idea, DJ Scoop decided to broadcast his music on a regular, scheduled basis so that viewers could tune in live and listen to them played and mixed by DJ Scoop himself.

Online radio

Mixiworld Radio was born on 1st August 2006. Since Mixiworld Radio has hit the 'online airwaves', it has gained thousands upon thousands of dedicated viewers, some of which show their support by modelling for photographs with "mixiworld.com" on them (also known as MixiChix). Mixiworld Radio has a gallery in which photographs of listeners are posted for viewers to comment and interact with each other. Since the birth of Mixiworld Radio, it now also broadcasts popular music from all different types of genre, some of which include Dance, R&B, Chart, Pop, Indie, Rap and Scouse House.

Mixiworld's main priority is user interaction, this is also the main reason for its rapid success. Mixiworld Radio offers many forms of interaction between listeners (SMS Text Messaging, Messenger communication and E-mailing), with rumors of it currently being in development of having Telephone services added allowing listeners to go live on air.

DJ's

As Mixiworld Radio's demand rocketed sky high, DJ Scoop decided to recruit more DJ's and created an array of shows, expanding the diversity of its music and its listeners.

DJ Farr, recruited in November 2006. DJ Farr is well known on Mixiworld Radio for his uplifting, fast tempo style of music, keeping the younger generation highly pleased.

Stock™, recruited in June 2007 has hit Mixiworld with a total new style of music, bringing in a whole new concept to Mixiworld Radio. His laid back, relaxed personality characterizes his show, with his R&B, Rap, Hip Hop style of music. Stock™, a rap artist from the North East of England is also rumored to be releasing a single in mid-October 2007.
