synonyms = The Rock Skipper ("Staurois latopalmatus") is a species of frog in the Ranidae family. It is a medium-sized species, with a body that is neither stocky nor slender. the snout is very short, rounded and slopes back from it's upper surface to the mouth. The legs are long and very heavily muscled. The two outer fingers are about half webbed. The entire upper surface has coarsely granular skin, whilst the belly is smooth, all upper surfaces are black with short yellowish or whitish markings.It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia.Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, and heavily degraded former forest. It is not considered threatened by the IUCN.
