It was released onJuly 18 ,2001 , and became self-titled ("Jimmy Eat World") following theSeptember 11 attacks , before reverting to its original name for a deluxe edition in 2008. The album was produced byMark Trombino , who previously producedBlink-182 's first major-label album, "Dude Ranch". The album artwork is taken fromWilliam Eggleston 's photograph "Memphis."On
April 29 ,2008 , a deluxe edition of the album was released with a bonus disc containing several b-sides, acoustic versions, live versions, demo versions and previously unreleased tracks. The original title "Bleed American" was restored.
