Howard Weizmann

Howard Weizmann is the current deputy director of the United States Office of Personnel Management. He most recently served as President of the Private Sector Council (PSC), part of the Partnership for Public Service, a not-for-profit organization that pairs private sector advisers with federal employees to improve agency performance management. Previously, Weizmann served as Senior Vice President for European Business Operations and Human Resources for Digex, Inc.

Prior to his tenure at Digex, Weizmann was an executive with Watson Wyatt, a management consulting firm. Weizmann also worked as an executive for Aetna Life Insurance, the American Benefits Council, and Sunoco.

Weizmann is the co-author of a book on employee engagement entitled, Rewards and Business Strategy: People, Pay, and Performance. He is an attorney by profession and earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1977. In the late 1990’s he also served on the Federal City Council, a public-private partnership that examines economic problems facing the District of Columbia, and was active in the Washington Board of Trade.
