Description

The tree is distinguished by its fastigiate form, growing 10 m tall by only 2 m wide, with leaves larger and darker than the type [http://www.lancasterfarms.com/cgi-bin/orderdetails.pl?upc=64817611400&textPassword=&guide=yes] .

Pests and diseases

The species and its cultivars are highly resistant, but not immune, to Dutch elm disease, and completely unaffected by the Elm Leaf Beetle "Xanthogaleruca luteola" [http://www.sunshinenursery.com/survey.htm] .

Cultivation

'BSNUPF' (Everclear™) is reputedly fast growing on well-drained soil. It has yet to be cultivated beyond North America.
