Lomzha Governorate

Lomzha Governorate

Lomzha Governorate ( _ru. Ломжская Губерния, _pl. Gubernia łomżyńska) was an administrative unit (governorate) of the Congress Poland.

In 1867 territories of the Avgustov Governorate and the Plotsk Governorate were divided into a smaller Płock Governorate, Suvalki Governorate (consisting mostly of the Avgustov Governorate territories) and a recreated Lomzha Governorate that could trace its origins to the Łomża Department of the Duchy of Warsaw.
