The basic premise of the magazine is to publish unknown and little known writers of great talent. It tends to sway towards the gritty and away from the mainstream. It looks for writing that shows literary bravery and honesty. Recent authors published include Bob Thurber, Randall Brown, Jim Musgrave, Joseph Thayer, Rea Frey and Wayne H.W Wolfson.
"Ramble Underground" hosts a semi-annual short story fiction writing
contest . First and second place winners receive cash awards and the third place winner receives an honorable mention. All three short stories are published online.Awards and recognitions
