Sergio Matabuena Delgado aka Sergio Matabuena (born 12 February 1979 in Santander, Cantabria) is a Spanish football player who currently plays for Sporting de Gijón of the Spanish La Liga. He signed with Sporting de Gijon when the team was in Second Division achieving a successful promotion to La Liga with a great personal performance. His usual demarcation is midfielder. He is well known by the Sporting supporters as "Matabuena Gatusso" due to his good skills as defensive midfielder.
