Lajes is a parish in the municipality of
Praia da Vitória in theAzores . The population in2001 is 3,753, its density is 336.6 /km² and the area is 11.15 km². It is the second largest and the most populated parish in the municipality of Praia da Vitória. It is located in the northeastern part of Terceira. The main industry are business and agriculture. It is also the most densely populated parish in Praia da Vitória. The Atlantic is to the northeast and the mountains to the southwest.In the parish of Lajes,
