Philadelphia Media Holdings

Philadelphia Media Holdings LLC is a group of local Philadelphia, Pennsylvania investors who formed to buy "The Philadelphia Inquirer", the "Philadelphia Daily News" and the internet portal for both called Philly.com.

In June 2006, The McClatchy Company had bought Knight Ridder and "The Philadelphia Inquirer" and the "Philadelphia Daily News" were among the twelve less-profitable Knight Ridder newspapers that McClatchy put up for sale when the deal was announced in March.

Philadelphia Media Holdings bought the newspapers on June 29, 2006.
