Ieu Pannakar

Ieu Pannakar (born February 21, 1931) is a Cambodian film director and senator. accessdate = 2007-07-18 ] He is a co-founder (with fellow Cambodian director Rithy Panh) of Bophana: The Audio-Visual Resource Center - Cambodia. Pannaker serves as honorary president of Bophana's oversight organisation, the ARPAA, or Association pour la recherche, la production et l’archivage des documents audiovisuels.

accessdate = 2007-07-18 ] He has also headed the cinematic division of the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts. Pannaker's father Ieu Koeus, who is deceased, was briefly Prime Minister of Cambodia. He held office for nine days in 1949.
