Thorp Arch (village)

Thorp Arch is a small village near Wetherby, West Yorkshire, England. The village comes under the City of Leeds metropolitan borough. The village is set on the River Wharfe, has a primary school and public house. The village is in the LS23 Wetherby postcode area and has a Wetherby dialling code (01937). Historically the parish of Thorp Arch was not in any of the Ridings of Yorkshire but in the Ainsty, a separate division.

The village is situated between the villages of Walton and Boston Spa. It is dwarfed by the adjacent Thorp Arch Trading Estate and in the shadow of the main buildings of the British Library.

The village once had a railway station (situated on the adjacent to the trading estate) on the Harrogate to Church Fenton line.

Thorp Arch is also home to Leeds United's training ground and academy based on Walton Road.
