Barrow Baronets

Barrow Baronets

There have been two Baronetcies created for persons with the surname Barrow, one in the Baronetage of Great Britain and one in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom.

The Barrow Baronetcy, of Highgrove in the County of Gloucester, was created in the Baronetage of Great Britain on 22 January 1784. For more information on this creation, see Crawley-Boevey Baronets.

The Barrow Baronetcy, of Ulverstone in the County of Lancaster, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on 30 March 1835 for the statesman John Barrow. He was succeeded by his son, the second Baronet. He was Chief Clerk at the Colonial Office. As of 2007 the baronetcy is held by his great-great-grandson (the title having descended from father to son), the sixth Baronet, who succeeded in 1960.
