John Longland

He was among the conservative bishops during the English Reformation, recognizing the Real Presence of the Eucharist. His conservatism is attested to by his complaint in 1536 to Thomas Cromwell about Protestant preachers in his diocese. John Hussey, 1st Baron Hussey of Sleaford was steward to Longland.
