Eventually, the MCC broadened its mission statement to include combating racism, sexism, and heterosexism]Today, the MCC offers prejudice-combating events, such as lectures, panel discussions, films and videos, musicals, dance, and dramatic performances, and poetry readings, all to the general public
Over seventy organizations are affiliated with the Multicultural Center[ [http://mcc.sa.ucsb.edu/About/index.aspx About the UCSB Multicultural Center] ] .]The MCC consists of several facilities available to all organizations associated with it, as well as other campus organizations and departments. These include a lounge/gallery, theater, meeting rooms, and kitchen.
