Tex Pitfield

Tex Pitfield is the President and CEO of Saraguay Petroleum, an Atlanta-based fuel company serving the South-Eastern United States. Saraguay Petroleum was incorporated in 1999.

Pitfield was born in Montreal, Canada in 1959 and was raised on a working cattle ranch in southern Alberta, Canada. He is the grandson of deceased Canadian financier Ward C. Pitfield and Grace Pitfield (nee MacDougall).

Pitfield's formal education was completed in Vancouver, BC. Pitfield worked in the Investment industry in Montreal, Toronto and New York from 1977 to 1990 before emigrating to the USA. He continued in the U.S. investment industry until 1996, when he moved into Internet startup financing.

In 1983, Pitfield was mentioned in the media as one of Canada's most eligible bachelors.

He is the nephew of Ward C. Pitfield, the past Chairman of Pitfield MacKay and Ross and Dominion Securities and also the nephew of Senator P. Michael Pitfield, former Clerk of the Privy Council and confident of Pierre Trudeau, past Prime Minister of Canada.
