Pleasant Avenue is a north-south street in the
East Harlem neighborhood of theNew York City borough ofManhattan . It begins at E. 114th Street and ends at E. 120th Street. Pleasant Avenue was the heart ofItalian Harlem from the late 1890s to the 1970s. The small remaining Italian population resides on Pleasant Avenue.
