Archduke Frederick Ferdinand Leopold of Austria-Teschen (14 May 1821 Vienna, Austria - 5 Oct 1847 Vienna, Austria), was the son of Archduke Charles, Duke of Teschen (1771-1847) and Princess Henrietta of Nassau-Weilburg (1797-1829).Infobox Austriaemperorstyles

He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral and Commander-in-Chief in the service of the Imperial Marine. During the Oriental crisis of 1840 between Egypt and the Ottoman Empire, Archduke Frederick served with the Austrian fleet off the Levantine coast, as captain of the ship "Guerriera". He personally led the assault on the citadal of Sidon and Beirut soon fell afterwards. After the bombardment of Acre on 3 November 1840, Archduke Frederick led a small landing party of Austrians, British and Ottoman Turks and took the citadel of Acre after the Egyptian garrison had fled and flew the Turkish, British and Austrian flags over the citadel. In 1844 Archduke Frederick was made commander of the Austrian navy after the mutiny by Venetian Italian junior officers led by the sons of Austria's most prominent admiral, Baron Francesco Bandiera. He gained the rank of General Field Marshal in the service of the Austrian Army.

He died unmarried and without issue at the age of 26. He is buried in the Imperial Crypt, Vienna, Austria.
