Steven Elder is an English actor working in film, television and theatre.

Biography

Steven Elder's birth name is Steven William Thomas Lawrence. He was born in the front room of 63 Elder Drive in the coal-mining community of Sunnyside, Rotherham, England. His grandfather, father and five uncles were all coal-miners at the Silverwood Colliery in Rotherham, England. His father, Clifford, was also a professional boxer. His mother, Margaret, was the youngest of ten children. Steven was educated at Valley Comprehensive School in Worksop, Nottinghamshire; and at Queen Mary, University of London where he was awarded a BA Hons degree in English Literature. He then attended drama school at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art (London).

He divides his time between London and Los Angeles.
