Scott Livengood is the former
CEO ofKrispy Kreme Corporation, which makes doughnuts. A native ofSalisbury, North Carolina , theUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill -educated man started working for Krispy Kreme in1977 , then a privately held company based inWinston-Salem, North Carolina . He was given the position of president of the company, moving toCEO in1998 , then Chairman of the Board in the following year. Livengood oversaw theIPO of Krispy Kreme on theNASDAQ , and the switch to theNYSE about a year later. 2005 saw the removal of Livengood from his position as theUnited States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigated Krispy Kreme for accounting indiscretions. Following his resignation, Livengood remained involved with the company as a high paid consultant until new CEO, Stephen Cooper, ended this arrangement.Livengood has three children and one stepchild and resides in
