Albert Woodland

Albert Woodland

Albert Woodland (June 10, 1895 — January 31, 1955) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire during the 1920 season. He was born in Conisbrough and died in Mansfield.

Woodland made his first-class debut in a match during May 1920, in which, playing as a tailend batsman, Derbyshire lost by eight wickets, in spite of five-wicket hauls by Samuel Cadman and Arthur Morton.

Woodland's second and final first-class fixture came against Essex three weeks later, in a six-wicket defeat. Derbyshire finished the 1920 season with 17 losses from 18 games, and bottom of the County Championship.
