"Limnaea atomentosa" Climo and Pullan, 1972

"Lymnaea tomentosa hamiltoni" is an extinct subspecies of freshwater gastropod of the family Lymnaeidae, endemic to New Zealand. They are found in lake marls in the southern part of the South Island.

The shell is small, differing from the extant "Lymnaea tomentosa tomentosa" by being narrower, tall-spired, with a small rounded aperture, and in having five whorls instead of four.

Height is up to 7 mm, and width 3.5 mm.
