The California Angels' 1995 season featured the Angels finishing 2nd in the American League West with a record of 78 wins and 67 losses.

The 1995 California Angels went through one of the worst late-season collapses in major league baseball history. On August 16, California held an 10.5-game lead over the Texas Rangers and 11.5 game lead over the Seattle Mariners, but from August 16 to September 6 the Angels went on to lose 18 of their next 21 games. During this time period, the Angels lost 9 straight games from August 25 to September 3. On September 12, the Angels were still leading the Western Division. Their lead stood at six games over Seattle and 7.5 games over Texas before the Angels had a second nine-game losing streak from September 13 to September 23, falling out of first place

California rebounded to win the last five scheduled games to tie Seattle for the division lead, which forcing a tiebreaker game. Mark Langston was defeated by the Seattle Mariners' Randy Johnson 9-1 in the tiebreaker to end the Angels' season.cite web| author=Nightengale, Bob| title=The Angels are too hardy in not being hardy enough| publisher=The Sporting News| url=http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1208/is_n40_v219/ai_17495103 | date=October 2, 1995| accessdate=2007-09-21] [http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CAL/1995_sched.shtml 1995 California Angels] from Baseball-reference.com]
