A Brazilian slang term for a good musician, literally meaning, "foot of the bull".
As a result he began playing many gigs in the NYC underground scene of the 1980s with the likes of David Byrne and David Johansen among many others.
Guilherme has recently been hired by longtime friend, drummer and movie executive
Richard Baratta to work in the motion picture industry in New York, which is great because there is little work for percussionists in NYC.Discography
He recorded a solo album as a leader, "Capoeira: Legendary Music of Brazil," (1998) on the Lyrichord label where he plays the majority of the instruments heard.
He has also appeared on at least one album for most of the years since 1972. Below is a table displaying all his appearances and instruments played: [ [http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:kcfrxqrjldhe allmusic ((( Capoeira: Legendary Music of Brazil > Overview ))) ] ]
