The fMRI Data Centre

The fMRI Data Centre

The fMRI Data Centre (fMRIDC) is a public repository of neuroimaging data. The initial idea was that scientists publishing neuroimaging studies would deposit their data which would then be freely available to the academic community. Although the majority of datasets are functional MRI, there are also structural MRI datasets available. The Data Centre and website were opened in 2000.

The future of the fMRIDC is not clear. In Summer 2006 visitors to the website were informed that the data centre would be moving from Dartmouth College to the University of California, Santa Barbara, however no further information is available from the website at this time. Some users had reported that data is not being delivered and that phone calls and emails to the centre are not answered.
