Game Rating Board

Game Rating Board (GRB, 게임물등급위원회) is the South Korean video game content rating board. A governmental organization, the GRB rates video and computer games to inform customers of the nature of game contents.

Initially, the Korea Media Rating Board a governmental organization, rated video and computer games with other entertainment media. But the Korean Game Industry ran into big confusion because the Korea Media Rating Board rated a gambling game called Sea Story as a game suitable for everyone, merely with bribery; They did not consider it a gambling game. After the Korean government got through the painful progress of political controversy, they made GRB in 2006 the only rating organization for video games.

Ratings

Four rating used by GRB:
PC/Console/online/mobile game use all ratings, but arcade game use only 'All' and 'Teenager restricted'.
