"There is an increasing call to hold companies legally accountable for violations of international crimes. This, together with the increase in the number of crimes under international law, has created uncertainty as regards the conditions under which companies can be held legally accountable. The academics can guide businesses, investors, governments, the UN and NGO’s to understand when businesses have, and have not, crossed the border and become violators or participants of international crimes. The Globe Award (link) for researchers is a significant pillar in this regard and will help us to create a more responsible world”.[2]
