evergreen tree growing up to 30 m tall. The leaves are in decussate opposite pairs, 5-7 cm long (up to 20 cm long on young plants) and 8-12 mm broad. The cones are oval, up to 15 cm long and 12 cm diameter, and disintegrate at maturity to release the winged seeds.References
