Lord Milner during his time in South Africa and alongsideViolet Markham she established theVictorian League in 1901 to promote Milner's imperial vision. After Lord Edward's death in theGreat War (1918), she married Lord Milner in 1921.She took over as "National Review" editor after the death of her brother
