Rocky Hill High School is a four year high school for grades 9 through 12. It is located at 50 Chapin Avenue in Rocky Hill, Connecticut in the United States. The school was constructed in 1980, and has a rated capacity of 750. Recently, in order to house the increasing number of students, the possibility of constructing an expansion to the school has been discussed.fact|date=March 2008 In the mean time, to help ease congestion, one classroom is now available in a air conditioned trailer outside the high school.

Curriculum

Rocky Hill High School is accredited by the Connecticut State Department of Education and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Several "Early College Experience" classes are offered at RHHS in collaboration with the University of Connecticut. Areas of study composing the core curriculum at RHHS include English, Social Studies, Math, Science, and foreign languages.

Many extra curricular classes are available in areas such as Technology, Art, as well as independent study.

General Information

Approximately 70% of Rocky Hill High School graduates go to a four year college, 17% attend a two-year college, 4% enter the work force and approximately 2% enter the Military. fact|date=March 2008

Rocky Hill High School coordinates with the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts as well as the Greater Hartford Academy of Mathematics and Science, both of which are magnet schools in nearby Hartford. The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts is a place for students to express their interests in drawing, art, theater, and music. The Greater Hartford Academy of Mathematics and Science is a place for students to develop their abilities in Math and Science, and to consider these subjects as lifelong career pursuits.
