Kumudini College was established in
1943 byRanada Prasad Saha (R.P.Saha), aphilanthropist and educationalist. He named it after the name of his mother Kumudini. At the beginning, the college started its journey only with eight students. Later on, the college was shifted to a warehouse. In1945 , Ranada Prasad Saha shifted it to a new place, which has become its permanent site.Academic programmes
The college offers higher secondary and degree (pass) programmes. It also has Honours and Masters Programmes in 16 subjects.
Facilities
The college has hostel facilities for its students and it can accommodate 450 girls. It also provides rich library.
