The Barttelot Baronetcy, of Stopham in the County of Sussex, is a title in the
Baronetage of the United Kingdom . It was created on14 June 1875 for the Conservative politicianWalter Barttelot . As of 2007 the title is held by his great-great-grandson (the title having descended in the direct line), the fifth Baronet, who succeeded his father in 1944. He is aColonel in theColdstream Guards .The family surname is pronounced "Bartlot".
